When does Pure Terror Scream Park open for the 2025 season?

Pure Terror Scream Park opens on select nights from September 19th through November 2nd, 2025. Be sure to check our official calendar for exact dates and nightly hours of operation, as they may vary by day and event. Gates typically open at 7 PM, but we recommend arriving 30 minutes to an hour early to beat the lines.

Can I change the date of my Pure Terror Scream Park ticket?

Yes, you can reschedule your ticket, but please note that a change fee of $30.00 per ticket applies (includes a $28.50 service fee + $1.50 NYS sales tax).

  • Ticket date changes must be made at least 24 hours before your original scheduled date.

  • Changes are subject to availability.

We highly recommend double-checking your availability before purchasing, as all ticket date changes are final and non-refundable.

Is Pure Terror Scream Park open in the rain?

Yes! Pure Terror Scream Park is open rain or shine. Our haunted attractions continue to operate in most weather conditions, including rain.

We only close under extreme or unsafe weather conditions, such as hurricanes, lightning storms, or high winds that may put guests or staff at risk.

  • Closure updates will be posted on our official website, Instagram, and Facebook pages.

  • We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe footwear.

If extreme weather forces us to cancel, we will make announcements as early as possible.

Do you offer group discounts at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes! We offer group discounts for parties of 20 or more people. Whether you’re planning a school trip, corporate outing, or a night of fear with friends, group rates are available.

Is there a dress code at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes. For safety and security reasons, a strict dress code is enforced.

Costumes, masks, and face paint are strictly prohibited. Guests wearing any of these items will be turned away at the entrance—no exceptions.

Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended due to uneven terrain, dark walkways, and scare zones. Please avoid wearing sandals, flip-flops, or high heels, as they pose a safety risk.

Large backpacks, luggage, shopping bags, and promotional items are not allowed inside the park and may be subject to inspection.

These rules are in place to ensure the safety of all guests and staff. Please plan your visit accordingly.

Are the haunted attractions the same every year at Pure Terror Scream Park?

No! We redesign and upgrade our haunted attractions every year to ensure a fresh and terrifying experience for returning guests.

Each season, our team creates new themes, sets, props, and scares, using Hollywood-quality special effects, makeup, and set design. Whether you’re coming from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut, you’ll encounter something new and horrifying each time you visit.

We pride ourselves on delivering one of the scariest and most immersive haunted attractions in the Northeast—so even if you’ve been before, you’ve never experienced it like this.

Do you sell Pure Terror Scream Park souvenirs?

Yes! We offer a wide variety of Pure Terror merchandise and souvenirs for fans who want to take the fear home with them.

Visit the Terror Shop, located in the Monster Courtyard area, to find:

What items are not allowed inside Pure Terror Scream Park?

For the safety of all guests and staff, the following items are strictly prohibited inside Pure Terror Scream Park and its haunted attractions:

  • No purses, backpacks, or large bags

  • No smoking, vapes, or electronic cigarettes

  • No cameras, flash photography, or video recording

  • No alcohol, lighters, matches, or open flames

  • No outside food or beverages

  • No weapons of any kind, including pocket knives, box cutters, or firearms

  • No laser pointers or flashlights

  • No pets or animals

  • No costumes, face paint, or masks of any kind

Important:

  • All guests must pass through walk-through metal detectors and security screening before entry.

  • Anyone found with a prohibited item will be denied entry without a refund.

Pure Terror Scream Park has 24/7 video surveillance throughout the park and inside each attraction. Our on-site security team and law enforcement are present each night to ensure a fun, safe, and secure experience for everyone.

Please respect the rules—your safety is our top priority.

Can I take photos or video inside Pure Terror Scream Park?

No photography or video recording is allowed inside any of our haunted attractions. This policy is strictly enforced to protect the experience, safety, and privacy of all guests.

However, you are welcome and encouraged to take photos and videos in the outdoor areas, including our midway, monster photo ops, and designated selfie zones.

Important:

  • Anyone caught using a camera, phone, or recording device inside any haunted house will be immediately removed from the park without a refund.

  • Disrupting other guests’ experiences will result in ejection—no exceptions.

We want every visitor to have a fully immersive and uninterrupted scare experience. Please respect this policy and help us keep the terror real.

Is smoking allowed at Pure Terror Scream Park?

No. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. This includes:

  • Cigarettes

  • Electronic cigarettes (e-cigs)

  • Vapes

  • Lighters or open flames of any kind

Violators will be asked to leave the park immediately with no refund. No exceptions.

Do you serve food at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes! Come hungry—our brand-new Monster Courtyard features a variety of carnival-type food.

We offer a wide selection of delicious eats, including sweet treats, hot meals, snacks, and drinks. Whether you’re in the mood for something savory or looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, we’ve got something for everyone.

Grab a bite between before or after the attractions, or relax and recharge in our lively midway courtyard.

Do you serve alcohol at Pure Terror Scream Park?

No. Alcohol is not sold or permitted anywhere on the property.

For the safety of all guests and staff, anyone found with alcohol or appearing under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied entry or removed from the park without a refund.

We strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy to maintain a safe, family-friendly, and secure environment for everyone.

Can I get injured at Pure Terror Scream Park?

While we take every precaution to provide a safe environment, all guests enter at their own risk.

Running is the leading cause of minor injuries, so please follow all posted rules and instructions from staff. For your safety and the safety of others—do not run inside the park or attractions.

By purchasing a ticket and entering the park, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the experience, including injury or even death. Pure Terror Scream Park is not liable for any injuries or incidents before, during, or after your visit.

Important safety notice:

  • Heels and open-toe shoes are strictly prohibited.

  • Guests wearing unsafe footwear will not be allowed into the attractions.

Can I be removed from Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes. Pure Terror Scream Park reserves the right to refuse entry or eject any guest at any time for behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, or violates park rules.

Guests who are:

  • Not following safety guidelines

  • Endangering themselves, other guests, or staff

  • Acting aggressively or irresponsibly

Will be removed from the property without a refund. No exceptions.

These rules are strictly enforced to protect the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Please respect our guidelines and help us maintain a fun, safe environment for everyone.

Is there security at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes. Pure Terror Scream Park takes safety seriously and has a professional, highly trained security team on-site every night.

All guests must pass through security screening and metal detectors upon entry. For everyone’s safety, the following items are strictly prohibited and will result in denied entry:

  • Alcohol or drugs

  • Lighters or open flames

  • Pocket knives, weapons, or tasers

  • Firearms of any kind

  • Any illegal substances or items

There are no exceptions. Please leave restricted items at home or secured in your vehicle. Guests who do not comply will be refused entry without a refund.

How long does it take to go through all the haunted attractions at Pure Terror?

Guests typically spend 60 to 90 minutes experiencing all 10 haunted house attractions, depending on the night, crowd size, and walking pace. Be prepared for an intense, nonstop journey through over a mile of horror.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 15-30 minutes before the park opens (7 PM). Arriving early helps avoid long wait times and ensures you don’t miss your entry window, especially on peak nights.

The last entry/admission each day will be 15 minutes before closing time.

Are restrooms available?

Yes, we provide on-site portable restrooms conveniently located near the entrance and courtyard area for guest use.

Can I reuse my ticket for another night at Pure Terror Scream Park?

No. All standard tickets are valid for one-time use only.

Once a ticket has been scanned for entry, it cannot be reused. A new ticket is required for each visit, regardless of the date or time.

Please double-check your selected date before purchasing, and be sure to use your ticket on that specific night.

New for 2025: We are now offering an Any Day Ticket for an additional $25. This option allows you to visit any one night of your choice during the season, subject to availability. Any Day Tickets are available online only.

Can the actors at Pure Terror Scream Park touch you?

No. Our actors will never intentionally touch you.

They may get very close to create an intense and immersive scare experience, but physical contact is strictly prohibited. Likewise, guests are not allowed to touch the actors or props at any time.

This policy is in place to ensure a safe and respectful experience for both our performers and guests.

Is there fog used inside the haunted attractions at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes. We use fog machines throughout many of our haunted attractions to enhance the atmosphere and create an immersive, eerie experience.

If you have asthma, respiratory issues, or sensitivities to fog or strobe lighting, please take necessary precautions before entering. The use of fog is an essential part of the show and cannot be removed or disabled.

Can I go into the haunted attractions if I’m pregnant?

We strongly advise against entering the haunted attractions if you are pregnant.

Pure Terror Scream Park features intense scares, loud noises, fog, strobe lights, uneven terrain, and sudden movements that may pose risks to pregnant guests. For your safety and the safety of your baby, we recommend avoiding participation.

Please consult with your physician before making any decisions about attending.

Are strobe lights used inside Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes. Many of our haunted attractions use strobe lights and other intense lighting effects.

Strobe lights are used to enhance the scare experience and disorient guests in certain scenes. If you have a history of seizures, epilepsy, light sensitivity, or other medical conditions affected by flashing lights, we strongly advise that you do not enter the attractions.

Guest safety is our top priority. Please consult with your doctor if you have any concerns before attending.

Is Pure Terror Scream Park wheelchair accessible?

No. Due to the nature of our location and terrain, Pure Terror is not wheelchair accessible.

The scream park is set in the woods and includes steep inclines, declines, uneven ground, and outdoor terrain, making wheelchair access extremely difficult and unsafe.

As a seasonal outdoor event, Pure Terror Scream Park is classified as a seasonal amusement device and is not required to be ADA compliant under New York State regulations.

Please note:

  • Wheelchairs, walking canes, medical boots, or leg casts are not permitted.

  • Guests must be able to walk independently at a normal pace for extended distances.

  • The experience is self-guided and requires mobility to complete safely.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to provide a safe experience for all visitors.

Are there any age restrictions at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Pure Terror Scream Park is recommended for adults, teens, and older children who enjoy horror and haunted attractions.

We do not recommend the experience for children under 8 years old due to the intense scares, loud noises, and dark environments. However, admission for children under 8 is at the discretion of the parent or guardian. Parents know their children best, and we leave the final decision up to you.

Important rules and notes:

  • Children must be able to walk independently.

  • Babies or infants in arms, strollers, or carriers are not permitted under any circumstances. No exceptions.

  • There are no discounted child tickets.

  • No refunds will be given if a guest (of any age) chooses not to wait in line, is too scared to continue, or does not finish the attraction.

Emergency exits are located throughout the haunted houses for anyone who becomes too frightened to continue.

What happens if Pure Terror Scream Park closes due to extreme weather?

Pure Terror Scream Park features 10 Haunted House Attractions with both indoor and a few outdoor elements, and while we operate rain or shine, extreme weather may occasionally force us to close for safety reasons.

In the rare event of a weather-related closure:

  • Guests must exchange their ticket for a rain check before leaving the park.

  • Rain check tickets can be used on any remaining open night during the same season.

  • Tickets are only valid for the 2025 season. They cannot be used in future seasons.

  • No refunds will be issued—no exceptions.

By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and accept this policy. We appreciate your understanding and are committed to delivering a safe, unforgettable experience.

Is there parking at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Yes. Free on-site parking is available for all guests. Please follow the parking staff and signage for directions when you arrive.

Can I leave and re-enter the park?

No re-entry is allowed. Once you leave the park, your ticket is considered used and will not be valid for re-entry. Please plan accordingly before entering the attractions.

What forms of payment are accepted at Pure Terror Scream Park?

Tickets can be purchased online with a credit or debit card, or on-site at the gate using cash only. Please note that we do not accept cards at the ticket booth—cash is required for all in-person ticket purchases.

Once inside the park:

  • Food vendors and merchandise stands accept both cash and credit/debit cards.

  • We recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to guarantee entry, especially on sold-out nights.

Reminder: If buying tickets at the gate, bring cash, as cards are not accepted for ticket sales on-site.
